Application Areas

Adhesive

Functional silane plays a decisive role in the bonding and sealing of adhesives, and is the most accurate practical manifestation of its basic function of coupling connection.

Paint & Ink

The commonly used graft silicone crosslinking agents for silicone acrylic lotion are V171, V151, V173, O174, and V171. The lotion prepared is more stable because the isopropoxy group of V173 is not easy to hydrolyze; PTOK is a water-soluble strong alkaline silane, which can replace ammonia to adjust the pH value of the polymerization lotion, reduce the ammonia smell and VOC volatilization, and has better performance; OP17, OP11, O187 and AP1232 can be used as adhesion promoter of lotion system. In the UV curing ink system, A6121, A110, O186, O176, A596, and O174 all have good stability and adhesive properties.

Fiberglass & Carbon Fiber

High purity silanes such as A110S, O174S, and O187S are widely used for surface treatment of glass fibers and other inorganic fibers due to their excellent water solubility and dispersion properties; Because silanes such as A116, A1161, V171, S1891, A118, A1164, A1165 are also used for surface treatment of glass fibers to enhance different resin plastics

Powder Surface Treatment

The surface treatment and modification of various powders with silane can significantly improve the dispersibility of the powder, reduce oil absorption value, increase loading capacity, and increase reinforcement effect. Different types of silane are used due to different system environments

Polishing Materials

T28 and T281 of special specifications with total metal ions less than 50ppb are important raw materials for semiconductor wafer CMP . Polishing solutions with different particle sizes can be prepared through the sol gel process for multi-level wafer polishing.

Silane-Modified Resin (Hybrid Resin)

Organic silane can be used to modify various organic polymers. SPU resin was prepared by modifying isocyanate polyether with secondary amine silanes A115, A117, and A118, STP resin was prepared by blocking hydroxyl polyether with isocyanate silanes A3110 and A3111, and MS resin was prepared by addition of diallyl polyether with hydrogen containing silanes I35, I36, and I37.

Metal Surface Treatment

In the surface handling of black metals,silanes such as A110S, A112, O187, V171, N231, N230 are used for hydrolysis prepolymers. AP1232, OP11 and AP10 can be directly diluted with pure water and used for surface handling instead of phosphating process; OP11 has good passivation sealing performance in inorganic passivation film and aluminum anodizing film.

Solar Photovoltaic

The solar photovoltaic film mainly consists of EVA and POE, while O174S and V171 are the main cross-linking adhesives. A596 is used in EVA and POE films due to its good compatibility and long-term storage stability.

Tyre & Rubber

Silanes are the most widely used in tyre and rubber industry，they are used to enhance the wear resistance of tires reinforced with precipitated silica, improve tire grip, reduce tire rolling resistance,and reduce fuel consumption. Usual silanes include S69, S75, S69C, S75C, N308, N308C, S1891, S264, S3013, S466, S691, etc.

Silicon-based Inorganic Materials

Trichlorosilane JH-I10 is the basic material for the preparation of polycrystalline silicon. It is converted into trichlorosilane through the reverse reaction process, making tetrachloride an indirect raw material for polycrystalline silicon.

Silicone Oil and Silicone Resin

Two functional silane coupling agents are usually used as the basic raw materials for functional silicone oils, introducing various functional groups into the side chains through block equilibrium reactions.

Cable

Organosilicon cross-linked polyethylene is an external insulation material for wires and cables, which has high strength,weather resistance, flame retardancy and insulation properties. Add a mixture of vinyl silane and PE material, and finally form it through peroxide crosslinking. The main vinyl silanes used here are V171 and V151. The use of vinyl silanes oligomers VP10 and VP11 has a better effect, reducing the volatilization of monomer silanes and VOC emissions during the processing.

Engineering Plastics

The reinforcement and modification of engineering plastics use various inorganic fillers and various inorganic fibers, including silica fume, wollastonite, kaolin, calcium carbonate, glass fiber and so on.There are many types of silanes can be used in different plastic systems and fillers.
